I knew the second I saw this sweater that it must be Helmut Lang. Love the asymmetric hem, the sheer panels, the contrast borders. Great all season transitional piece. And I already told you I’m carrying a lot of clothes featured on the show in my new boutique ‘iona‘, Helmut Lang is one of the lines I am carrying. Unfortunately I’m not opening for a few months so have to buy this gem elsewhere. Before anyone asks, no I did not find the lariat necklace, she wore this in an episode some time ago and couldn’t find it then.

Guess I was wrong. I predicted that Steffy is so cool, that she can even wear a sweater backwards and make it look amazing. Before I even got a chance to look for it, Bam! Things are getting awfully cozy in the consoling cabin. This can’t go well for anyone involved especially Brooke. At least she’s cozy in this sweater too, she might want to hang onto it, as it may be the only thing comforting her in the future. I found the Real Deal, but not in this color anymore. But it is on sale, so that’s a bonus.

The outfit has toned down over the last one but Steffy has def not. Nice strong lines with this sweater. You would think you would need to be a 6 footer to wear this (I tried it on my last Nordstrom trip), but Steffy proves a petite gal can carry it off too. I think the piping adds the extra cool factor and also makes it look more defined and… well…like the expensive item it is. And fyi I didn’t buy it; me and cropped sweaters stopped loving each other about 15 years ago.

I decided to put a screen shot with $Bill and Brooke up because all of this sweater air time was with Stephanie, and it was just too sad. So instead this will drive many fans nuts and my lovely international readers (who are a couple months behind) scratching their heads saying WTH? Or more likely WTF?Anyhow who doesn’t love a big, forgiving, cozy sweater. I do I do! Now’s a good time to get some of these higher priced items in your closet because everything is on sale. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

I have received lots of colorful commentary on this colorful sweater. If you were on the nay-say, does it make a difference to you that Kate Moss was seen wearing this Burberry RTW F12 owl sweater? Whimsy, cool?  So obviously Hope’s is a less expensive version of the runway version, so you too could channel your inner Hope or the divine Ms Moss. Up to you, but be prepared, your 6 your old niece will love it, the fashionista’s will literally tip their hats to you on the street but your love interest is going to think it is zero sexy.

Brooke and Bill strolling the streets of Aspen. This is kind of freaking me out. I’ll get beyond that and focus on Brooke’s cozy, window shopping kind of outfit. Monochromatic works on Brooke proving that same tones can work and look great. Just don’t do same tone denim and sport the Canadian tuxedo (as it is called). For the record I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Canadian in said tuxedo. Here is a couple of affordable versions on her sweater to get the look. What is that splotch on here arm? Did anyone else notice? Must have been raining or I don’t know…I’m sure you all have some creative & funny ideas.

“I told you so” is what she’s thinking. A mother is always (usually) right, and I think Steffy would agree. I wonder how elated Taylor will be when she hears about Brooke and Ridge. In any case, I would be happy too with a little peplum in my wardrobe. You would think that it would exaggerate the typical trouble spots, but it is actually very flattering and totally on trend. But that’s our Doc. Diggin Taylor’s hair lately too, she looks lovely.

If anyone ever tells you you can’t wear white after labor day, tell them that is so yesterday. Besides both Tim Gunn (Project Runway, Parsons School) and Nina Garcia (Marie Claire Fashion Editor, Project Runway), both say it is not only ok, it is encouraged. Steffy looking cool and comfortable in her slightly sheer sweater, with a white tank, white jeans tucked into these combat boots, and wearing those drop tusk earrings. I’m almost certain that The Real Deal is a DSquared2 sweater.
