Lots of requests on these jeans, and a reader find by our friend Laurie, so had to post. I love this color as you know; bright blue, cobalt, or lapis is the pretentious color term for ‘bright blue’. I’ll be honest this episode inspired me to style my bright blue pants with a grey topper. It also inspired me to always listen to my husband and never doubt him. I’m kidding that’s silly talk, just trying to relate to the story line. Thanks for the find Laurie! Laurie also found the J Crew stretch twill pants which are a similar and a less casual look. If I had these pants I would be wearing them as much as possible too. Remember these pants from a year ago, by Isabel Marant Fall 2011 RTW? I wanted this screen cap because I wanted to share the styling of the whole outfit. But if you get a closer look at the jacket, you’ll see some quilting detail on the shoulder. Not a color we would normally expect to see on Steffy, but then again not sure there is a color JMW looks bad in.

Are Steffy and Liam stopping at the party on their way to a Heart concert? Come on I’m not the only one thinking this was very 80’s kind of glam rock looking. Big hair included. Stella McCartney was the first to come out with this style of contrast dress a couple of years ago, and it has taken on many different versions since then. I like this take on it with the leather inset. It looks great on Caroline. I have a dress like this and I do not have a body like Caroline’s, but it is still very flattering on me. So with that I think it would look good on most women. My two cents.

From the beach to the boardroom. I wish I could transition that fast and look that good. Looks like Steffy is on side with the Thomas’ “update Forrester to the 21st Century”. Can’t say I disagree, just wish I was one of the tech consultants getting in that 10 million $$ project that Thomas did all the research for…in 5 hours.I’m pretty sure The Real Deal on this jacket is by Zara, but looks to be sold out. Here is one in black. I’ve also included a few similar styles in a grey knit. I like the biker jacket look in a knit don’t you?

Quite the demure Veronica Lake thing Caroline has going on here. See how good peplum can look? Almost looks like a Roland Mouret dress, but with a lot less zeros along with the price tag.

What an unlikely motley crew of characters off to Aspen. But what a perfect little jet-set jacket. The look is part Burberry, part Ralph Lauren, but it’s actually all Zara (and way less expensive than aforementioned)

I saw quite a few versions of this jacket either in the fall mags or in my sleep, I can’t remember which. In any case, what do you think of this type of shoulder detail? This puff shoulder has a kind of throwback whimsical edge to it, kind of like the ‘tude Steffy has right now. I think we are going to see some very classic throwback Steffy behavior soon. Steffy is looking very trendy in her Black & White contrast collar blazer, printed top and drop tusk earrings. The fitted black pants look great, but I am a bit surprised by the over-sized white shoulder bag. The more I think about it, the more I think I like it vs an expected over-sized contrast clutch. I wouldn’t hate seeing a gold tone clutch or pop of color. Anyhow, Steffy rarely looks bad with any combo of clothing and accessories and this look is no exception and definitely right up her alley. The blazer is the centerpiece and I absolutely love it. The Real Deal looks like a 2011 Zara blazer, (only color options available on ebay), or Ann Harvey from last year (sold out sorry). Stella McCartney really jump started this style of blazer last year, and now this spring we have seen Gucci, Helmut Lang, Balmain, who all came out with their own OMG versions. Here are some Real World versions for this year that we could consider. Zara has another version for this year that is reasonably priced.
