Caroline – Peplum Top / Print Pant (12.12.12)
Caroline has quite a bit more coverage today. Phew that skirt she had on yesterday made me a little nervous when she reached up. We have talked about peplum before and how deceptively flattering it is…so I’m not sure why I haven’t raced out to buy one. In any case. I’m drawn to the pants. The Real Deal are by Zara and they are sold out, sorry (you can get some on ebay).
J Crew has a bunch of great printed cigarette pants though, check them out here. They are a way cooler option for your holiday party than sequins.
Caroline – Aztec Skirt & Pink Blazer (12.8.12)
Caroline ‘Speaker of Truths’, and wearer of bandage skirts. Hey she looks good in them so why not. And this kind of blushy pinky blazer? I find myself wanting to hate it, but I think the cut of it has reeled me in. Okay and the color too. Even though I have zero (0) pale pink-ish items in my closet, I like it. I actually love the styling with the strong aztec lines of the skirt and how the lines are carried within the jacket too. Now if the jacket was black it would be very Steffy, but softening the look with the color makes it very Caroline.I found The Real Deal of the skirt and a version of the blazer.
Brooke – Gathered Dress (12.7.12)
J’adore gathered dresses like this. The gathering makes it like the magic dress in the closet. Masking and accentuating all the right parts. And of course this looks fantastic on Brooke.
Steffy – Hi-Lo Turtleneck Sweater (12.7.12)
The outfit has toned down over the last one but Steffy has def not. Nice strong lines with this sweater. You would think you would need to be a 6 footer to wear this (I tried it on my last Nordstrom trip), but Steffy proves a petite gal can carry it off too. I think the piping adds the extra cool factor and also makes it look more defined and… well…like the expensive item it is. And fyi I didn’t buy it; me and cropped sweaters stopped loving each other about 15 years ago.
Hope – Blue Pleated Dress (11.29.12)
I think Hope wins the style award of the week. It’s a great ‘of the moment’ color, it’s a beautiful feminine dress, and it is just very flattering on Hope. She looks very pretty. My vote for the week so far. How would you style it for cooler weather? I’d suggest a cropped-ish black leather jacket, tights and booties.
Steffy – Studded Shoulder Blazer
Are Steffy and Liam stopping at the party on their way to a Heart concert? Come on I’m not the only one thinking this was very 80’s kind of glam rock looking. Big hair included. Here is The Real Deal if you want to try the look yourself. And if you don’t know the band Heart you should Google it, and you’ll see the resemblance. I embedded a photo anyhow, couldn’t help myself.
Caroline – Leather Panel Dress (11.29.12)
Stella McCartney was the first to come out with this style of contrast dress a couple of years ago, and it has taken on many different versions since then. I like this take on it with the leather inset. It looks great on Caroline. I have a dress like this and I do not have a body like Caroline’s, but it is still very flattering on me. So with that I think it would look good on most women. My two cents.
Brooke – Slouch Sweater (11.28.12)
I decided to put a screen shot with $Bill and Brooke up because all of this sweater air time was with Stephanie, and it was just too sad. So instead this will drive many fans nuts and my lovely international readers (who are a couple months behind) scratching their heads saying WTH? Or more likely WTF?Anyhow who doesn’t love a big, forgiving, cozy sweater. I do I do! Now’s a good time to get some of these higher priced items in your closet because everything is on sale. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
Steffy – Grey Knit Biker Jacket (11.20.12)
From the beach to the boardroom. I wish I could transition that fast and look that good. Looks like Steffy is on side with the Thomas’ “update Forrester to the 21st Century”. Can’t say I disagree, just wish I was one of the tech consultants getting in that 10 million $$ project that Thomas did all the research for…in 5 hours.I’m pretty sure The Real Deal on this jacket is by Zara, but looks to be sold out. Here is one in black. I’ve also included a few similar styles in a grey knit. I like the biker jacket look in a knit don’t you?
