Steffy – Shoulder Detail Blazer (9.4.12)

Look: Steffy - Shoulder Detail Blazer (9.4.12)
I saw quite a few versions of this jacket either in the fall mags or in my sleep, I can’t remember which. In any case, what do you think of this type of shoulder detail? This puff shoulder has a kind of throwback whimsical edge to it, kind of like the ‘tude Steffy has right now. I think we are going to see some very classic throwback Steffy behavior soon. Here is a version of the jacket if you like it:

Steffy – Leather Lapel Blazer (8.21.12)

This outfit is a perfect example of how to transition your wardrobe from summer into fall. I’m pretty sure this blazer was Zara 2011, but here are some versions that are currently on the market. I for one think this is a great investment piece. Pretty much can be worn year round; it can be worn casual with jeans, it can be worn with fun dresses like Steffy here, it can be worn with work separates like a skinny black pant, and it could be worn more for evening of course (think a sequined tank). Just find the right style that fits your body type. Here are a couple:

Steffy – Studded Biker Jacket (8.14.12)

Look: Steffy - Studded Biker Jacket (8.14.12)
…And the fun doesn’t end there Liam, just get on back behind ’cause you’re going for a ride! Is that a road approved motorcycle jacket? Who cares, because it looks bad ass. The Real Deal is by Zara, thanks to our reader Kristen who let us know it’s available in store. I found one one ebay too. There’s another similar one you can buy online at Zara The other option on the bottom is a vegan biker jacket for those of you who do not wear leather.

Caroline – Tweed Jacket (7.17.12)

It’s the season of blue tweed. First we saw Hope in that J Crew version here. Then we saw Brooke in that Theyskens’ Theory version here. Now Caroline is wearing a cropped, collarless, zipped pocket blue/ gray tone version. Sans fringe. I like the easy look with the white tank/T and loose pocket pants. Kind of a Hope/ Steffy mixed look. It’s a chic, classic, Chanel-esque look. Here is a version of this one if you like this style the best.

Steffy – Quilted Biker Jacket (6.28.12)

She’s back with her rocker chic cool swagger, and she seems strong handling the nuptials. What better way to appear tough than to throw on some leather. Steffy wearing her summer version with the distressed T and white jeans. Did you notice the repeater with the earrings? She wore these Heather Gardner boho tusk earrings back in March. Here’s the post with the earrings and where to get them. And the jacket. Cool quilt detailing. She also wore a quilt detail leather jacket in January (see post) , but it was box shaped.

Brooke – Tweed Suit (5.11.12)

Elegant up top, party down below. This is what I would call an oxymoron of a dress suit, and I think it rocks. What I love about it is that young gals can wear it and still look young and sassy yet sophisticated, and more seasoned gals can still look sophisticated but still show their sass. Make sense? The dress with the jacket is anywhere appropriate, then get a happy hour cocktail or 5 and take that jacket off and show off your fringe party dress. And perfectly appropriate for Brooke I might add. The Real Deal by Theyskens’ Theory (sold separately).

Hope- Fringe Trim Jacket (4.13.12)

Hope has moved into happier times; out of her sadness therapy clothes and into her happy therapy outfit. Who doesn’t like a Chanel-esque style jacket with fringe piping? I like how the model below is wearing it with jeans, but Hope does a good job with the blue slim pants, white tank, classic pumps, and layers of long silver chains. I think Coco would be ok with this Hope look. Here is her jacket:

Caroline – Tux Blazer and Sequin Mini Dress (4.4.12)

“Oh thank goodness I just happened to pack my sequin dress just in case there is a party”. I just made that quote up of course. Even with the blazer the dress is risque no? Deep decolletage and mini-mini? Ok, ok she looks great, and her youth and innocent and ethereal character de-sleaze the dress. The blazer is quite classic and something Steffy would definitely wear. Still trying to figure out Carolyn’s hodge-podge of style, but the blazer is thumbs up, here it is (and a version of the dress if you want to have available if a last minute party pops up for you):

Steffy – Contrast Collar Blazer (3.12)

Steffy is looking very trendy in her Black & White contrast collar blazer, printed top and drop tusk earrings. The fitted black pants look great, but I am a bit surprised by the over-sized white shoulder bag. The more I think about it, the more I think I like it vs an expected over-sized contrast clutch. I wouldn’t hate seeing a gold tone clutch or pop of color. Anyhow, Steffy rarely looks bad with any combo of clothing and accessories and this look is no exception and definitely right up her alley. The blazer is the centerpiece and I absolutely love it. The Real Deal looks like a 2011 Zara blazer, (only color options available on ebay), or Ann Harvey from last year (sold out sorry). Stella McCartney really jump started this style of blazer last year, and now this spring we have seen Gucci, Helmut Lang, Balmain, who all came out with their own OMG versions. Here are some Real World versions for this year that we could consider. Zara has another version for this year that is reasonably priced.
