Dayzee – Patchwork Dress (7.9.12)

Marcus dear boy, don’t blow it. Two years? Two years until a wedding, with Thomas in the sidelines? Doesn’t seem like Dayzee is too thrilled about it either, but how about the sass in her step confronting Thomas about the ‘hotness’ comment. Well duh, check her out in her sassy little cut-out, patchwork dress with leather detailing. C’mon Marcus…

Dayzee – Athletic Top (7.4.12)

If you are looking for some new athletic gear and you haven’t tried Lululemon before, I highly recommend their clothing. This innovative Canadian company makes the most interesting, functional, and innovative designs…and it’s all just really cool looking. Check out the thumb holes. But if you like something, act fast, as they are renowned for making small batches of designs and colors. So if you like this top, you better move…but this exact color seems to be gone (surprise, surprise). Thanks to our (obviously cool) reader Nicole for finding this first:

Dayzee – Tie Dye Top (4.10.12)

Dayzee owns the bohemian chic look, actually I think she could own any look. But name another character that could wear a tie dye shirt and look amazing. Steffy would be a close second. I know Dayzee’s character is a super grounded, ultra cool without trying to be cool kind of gal, and her clothes represent that however…I wouldn’t be upset seeing her in some Zara and J Brand. Here’s her top if you want to copy her look:

Dayzee – Floral & Lace (3.26) *25th Anniversary party*

Dayzee just gets prettier and prettier and I approve of her recent engagement to Marcus. So here she is at the party with her fiance wearing an interesting floral dress with a whole lot going on (at the party and the dress). I think she is the only character with the beauty and confidence to pull this party dress off. This by the way satisfies another one of my ‘Spring trends’ predictions, putting Dayzee in floral.

So the dress. I am still looking for the Real Deal, but what struck me most about this kind of bohemian/gypsy/doily dress was that it shares many of the design and pattern elements from the Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 collection. The larger scale floral, the mix of patterns and colors. The tiered skirt and hemline. The piping, trim and detailing. Screams Proenza Schouler like this. Here are some Real World versions if you must have this look:
