Caroline – Long Quill Necklace (8.1.12)

The brain trust of Thomas and Caroline… who would of thought these two would be the dynamic duo. But hey, I like it. Much like I like the duo of brass and porcupine quills in this necklace that Caroline is wearing, beautifully offset by her robins egg blue tank. The necklace is another cool piece by K/LLER, and we can only hope that Caroline will wear every piece in their collection.

Hope is wearing black! It’s a fitted button up, pocketed number, which is also quite fitting with her new ‘take no crap’ attitude. I like this side of Hope. I also like that the black shirt was paired with the navy pants, and with loaded on accessories. You might remember this bracelet back in February too (but sorry sold out). I think this might be one of my top 5 favorite looks on Brooke. The color, the fit, the sweetheart neckline, the accessorizing,…the look is near perfection. I would have preferred nude pumps, but I’ll live with the black ones. Here is a similar dress:

I like that the clothes and accessories are re-used on the show. For one it makes it more real life if the character repeats….because I don’t know about you, but I don’t have an outfit for every new day. Secondly, I like the re-use by a different character…it shows you a different look for the same item. I am always looking for ways to mix and match my existing wardrobe, so when the wardrobe team reuses items like this, it’s quite inspiring. And also Steffy could basically wear Liam’s tie and still look good. Here’s that great quill necklace we saw on Caroline back in April.Who do you think wore it better, Caroline or Steffy?

Steffy is going to have to channel Wonder Woman to overcome the fallout from the ‘It Actually Wasn’t a Perfect Wedding…Wedding’. If I recall Wonder Woman had those super bullet deflector cuff bracelets. I hope this black plastic or lucite (maybe metal) one is a good Logan deflector. Good luck brave one.

I have a problem, and that problem is that I like big bags. I also tend to fill them up with so much crap they end up weighing 45 pounds on my left shoulder. This bag that Dayzee is toting would therefore fit right into my wheelhouse. It must be genetic, because Steffy is becoming the utmost voice of reason…of everything and for everyone. Hopefully it’s just a phase. Thankfully she hasn’t lost her wild side when it comes to her fashion sense though. That was so cliche wasn’t it? Anyways, I can’t nail it every time. I think I’m pretty close to nailing the Real Deal here with the dress though, but again…I’m a little off. The dress Steffy is wearing shows more of a scoop neck and back, with black piping. The one I am showing below from musician, songstress Lily Allen’s label ‘Lucy in Disguise’ (cute name) has some slight deviations. Could possibly be from the same line. I’ve also included a version from Zac Posen’s more affordable line called Z Spoke, because, well, I just really like Zac Posen, and the dress.
